Matthew Lee Morehead, age 56, of Lewisburg, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home.
Matthew was born in Mountain View, Calif. to the late David Lee Morehead. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray, Ky., worked with the Kentucky Department of Public Health where he was a Dairy Inspector, was a United States Army veteran, and a former Boy Scout Leader for Troop 45 in Murray, Ky. Mathew was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Morehead.
Matthew is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beth Morehead; step-mother, Robbie Morehead of Alexandria, Va., and his daughter, Rainwater Samara Morehead of Hendersonville, Tenn.
A memorial service for Matthew Lee Morehead will be conducted on Saturday, March 30 at 12 p.m. at the Pfeffer Scout Reservation (Boyscout Camp) in Benton, Ky. Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel is in charge of the local arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The Trevor Project, P. O. Box 69232, West Hollywood, CA 90069 or to World Central Kitchen, P.O.Box 96538, Washington, DC 20090.
