    It’s nearly Black Friday and the Kentucky State Police (KSP) hope shoppers will include a Trooper Teddy Bear on their Christmas list this year. The bears go on sale Thanksgiving night at 6 p.m. and will sell for $15 through the holiday weekend. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Trooper Teddy Project, which provides teddy bears to children in traumatic situations such as a car crash, exposure to drugs, or domestic abuse cases which frequently result in the arrest of a parent.

    On Thursday, Nov. 19, the Russellville Police Department received a call of a drug complaint at 255 South Morgan Street. The caller advised that Kenneth Dickerson, 52, of Adairville, was parked on South Morgan Street in a silver Ford Fiesta passenger car and had illegal drugs in the car.

    Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. While discussing problems to solve, 8th graders in Mrs. Addie Rouses’s science class at Olmstead School looked in their own backyard at school and came up with the idea of redoing the outdoor classroom.
