Curtis Porter, 77, of Junction City, formerly of Russellville, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Logan County on Sept. 5, 1935, a son of the late Melvin Curtis and Floella Scarbrough Porter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Porter was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Mae Porter and his step-son, James Kinser.

Mr. Porter was a farmer and a member of the Dripping Spring Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Jeff Noffsinger officiating. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation began at the funeral home Tuesday, March 6 after 12 p.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers were Frank Orndorff Jr., Terry Linn Kinser, Donnie Day, Darrell Kinser, Charlie Orndorff and Clay Orndorf.

He is survived by his step-sons, Terry Kinser and wife Vicki of Junction City and Darrel Kinser of Russellville; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
