Jerry W. Shumake, 59, of the Sharon Grove Community, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was born in Logan County Jan. 1, 1953, a son of the late Albert and Sybil Bryant Shumake. In additon to his parents, Mr. Shumake was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Shumake.

Mr. Shumake was a member of the Lebanon General Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Clifford Scarborough officiating. Burial followed at the Gant Cemetery. Visitation began Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5-8 at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Shumake of Sharon Grove; his son, Jonathan Shumake of Sharon Grove; his sisters, Sherry Dulworth and Gwen Sanford both of Russellville and Charlotte Simpson of Olmstead, and his grandchildren, Dalton Wayne Shumake and Harley Brooke Johnson.
