Suzanna Z. Shirk Zimmerman, 80, of Fairview, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Ephrata , Penn. March 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph W. Shirk and Martha E. Zimmerman Shirk. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by her husband, Amzie L. Zimmerman; her daughter, Miriam S. Zimmerman; her brothers, Menno Z. Shirk, Paul Z. Shirk, Israel Z. Shirk, Aaron Z. Shirk and Elam Z. Shirk; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Meadow Valley Mennonite Church with Bishop Amon Hoover officiating. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery. Visitation began Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Ben Zimmerman Residence, 1189 Brittmart Road, Elkton, Ky. 42220. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton was in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her sons, Leroy S. (Maryanna) Zimmerman, John Amzie (Alta) Zimmerman and Wayne S. (Eva) Zimmerman all of Pembroke and Paul S. (Anna Mae) Zimmerman, Lawrence S. (Erma) Zimmerman and Benjamin S. (Ruth Elaine) Zimmerman all of Elkton; her daughters, Erma S. (Ivan) Rissler of Mohnton, Penn., Esther S. (Paul) Shirk of Versailles, Mo., Kathryn S. (Willis) Burkholder of Hopkinsville and Suzanne S. (Edward) Hoover, Martha S. (Steven) Sauder and Rachel S. Zimmerman all of Elkton; her sister, Esther (Ivan) Hoover of Narvon, Penn.; her brothers, Joseph Z. (Mabel) Shirk of Mt. Crawford, Va. and Edwin Z. (Martha) Shirk of Ephrata, Penn.; 86 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
