Slug Buneta, 87, of Elkton, died, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Jenni Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born in St. Louis, Ill. Oct. 13, 1924, a son of the late Paul and Adelia Dorothy Gronewald Buneta. In addition to his parents, Mr. Buneta was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Marie Buntea in 2008 and his son, Larry Buneta in 1998.
Mr. Buneta was retired from the terminal Railroad Co. in East St. Louis, Ill. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the pea Ridge Full Gospel Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Fowler and reverend Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday, Oct. 20 from 5-8 p.m
