DeMarcus Shantez Elliott Sr., 34, died Oct. 9, 2012.

He was born in Russellville Aug. 30, 1978, a son of Beatrice Elliott and Jean Elliott. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy Stewart.

Mr. Elliott accepted Christ at a young age.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. at Eleventh Street Baptist Church. Visitation began Monday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Burial followed at Bowling Green Gardens Cemetery. Gatewood and Sons Funeral Chapel were in charge of the arrangements.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott is survived by his son, DeMarcus Shantez Elliott Jr.; his companion, Shalana Beasley; his sisters, Cynthia (Ron) Stockton and Cassandra (Alphonzo) Beasley, both of Bowling Green and Tina Smith of Texas; his brothers, Timothy (Dale) Stewart of Indianapolis, Ind. and Elmo Stewart (Stephanie Wells) and Gary Stewart (Mary Russell), both of Bowling Green; his special niece, Romania Bowen of Baltimore, Ma.; a devoted friend, Jessica Emberton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
