Betty Jo Cushenberry, 79, of Franklin, Ky., died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Medical Center in Franklin, Ky.

She was born in Logan County, Ky., a daughter of the late Homer Conder Grow and Annie Bernice Alexander Grow.

Mrs. Cushenberry was a member of the Sulphur Spring Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years, she was a member of the Sulphur Spring Homemakers and past president and member of the Simpson County Homemakers.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery. Visitation began Sunday, Oct. 14 from 5-9 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 15 from 6 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Glenn Cushenberry; her sons, Joe Glenn Cushenberry and Barry Lynn Cushenberry both of Franklin, Ky.; her sister, Nancy Childress of Franklin, Ky.; her niece, Julianna Jepson of Franklin, Ky.; her grandchildren, Casey Joe, Eli and Jack Cushenberry; one great-nephew, and two great-nieces.
