Mary Joseph Rogers, 71, of Russellville, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

She was born in Fayette County, Ky. Sept. 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Henry Larkin Chumley and Margaret Fitch Chumley.

Mrs. Rogers was a retired registered nurse working with the Logan County Hospital and the Logan County Health Department.

Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jojy Joseph officiating. Burial followed in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation began Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel.

Pallbearers were Rev. Dr. J. Earl Coker, Denny Price, Jimmy Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Paul Murphy and Jack Whipple.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Rogers; her son, Paul Ted Rogers and wife Rita of Russellville; her daughters, Dana Murphy and husband Paul of Bowling Green and Martha Rogers of Russellville; her brother, Donald Chumley of Lexington; her grandson, Christopher Daniel Rogers, and several nieces and nephews.
