Betty Jean Scott, 71, of Olmstead, died June 25, 2012, at the Hearthstone Place in Elkton.

She was born on April 4, 1941, a daughter of the Late Amos Austin and the late Sarah Farmer Austin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Scott.

Mrs. Scott attended Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 28 at 1 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Jason Landreth officiating. Burial followed at Chandlers Cemetery. Visitation began Wednesday, June 27 from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Shawn Scott, Kenneth Scott, Kevin Scott, Bobby Law, Wayne Johnson and Luke Fultz.

She i survived by her sons, Ricky Scott of Elkton and David Scott and Kenneth Scott both of Olmstead; her daughter, Alice Scott of Russellville; her brother, Fred Lee Austin of Russellville; her sister, Geneva Parker of Clarksville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
