John Layton Brown, 6, of Auburn, died Saturday, May 19, 2012.

He was born in Logan County Oct. 16, 2005, a son to Jason Brown and Jennifer Belcher.

John Layton attended Auburn Elementary as a Kindergarten student.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25 at the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel at 11 a.m. with Brother Kenny Chyle officiating. Burial will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation began Thursday, May 24 after 5 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel and Friday, May 24 from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers are Chad Gipson, Jeremy Gipson, Robbie Brown, and David Swords.

In addition to his parents, John Layton is survived by his brother, Jason Lance Brown; his sisters, Sabrina K. Brown and Anna Watkins; his paternal grandparents, Nathan Brown and Charlotte Brown, and his maternal grandparents, Curtis Price Jr. and Debbie Evans.

He was preceded in death by his maternal step-grandfather, Jack Evans.
