Highway 96 crosses a natural bridge at the edge of Keysburg. A massive chimney remains of a boarding school that had an enrollment of 50-90 girls. The Keysburg Baptist Church stands on the site of an early Union Church.
At one time, four doctors lived in Keysburg, two hotels accommodated travelers on a major stagecoach line that came through and businesses of all kinds lines the main street. Russell Burchett who grew up there in the 1930s and 1940s will talk about life in those years.
Visitors will assemble at the Keysburg Church of Christ at 2 p.m. for the program. A number of pictures and materials will be on display.
Concluding the event will be a tour of the restored antebellum home of Dick and Charlotte Wenzel nearby.
