RHS soccer team nets first win

The Russellville High School boys’ soccer team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, defeating Butler County 5-2.

It was also the first district win for the Panthers.

Senior Eliot Wheat led RHS with two goals. Dominique Harris , Derion Calloway and Traie Matthews each scored one goal a piece for Russellville, which had a total of 19 shots on goal.

Butler County had just six shots on goal and two goals from Noah Geary.

Next up for RHS is the Falcon Cup, which is a Thursday and Saturday Tournament hosted by Monroe County.
