Cleaning up to fight cancer Dear Editor:

I had a chance to volunteer and help the Relay for Life team. We went to a stretch of road where we would stop to clean up.

We started by splitting into four groups because there were 20 of us. After this was done, we went to different spots of the road and started picking up the trash.

The Relay for Life team helps people who have cancer. We are hoping that this will be the year that they find a cure so that the hope will not fade for those that already have cancer. Our prayers are that the people in Logan County can get help and treatment for this dreaded disease, even if they have no insurance.

We will work and raise funds for them, because they are too sick to work themselves, and I have to believe that if given the chance, they would help us.
