The Russellville High School baseball team got a District 13 win in exciting fashion Tuesday night, beating visiting Franklin-Simpson 4-3 at Kelly Russell Field.

The Panthers got a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning from senior Dudley Bouldin to score D.J. Quarles.

Russellville came back from a 3-0 deficit to pick up its first win of the season.

In other district games Tuesday, the Russellville softball team lost 7-1 to Franklin-Simpson and the Logan County baseball team lost 2-1 at Todd County Central.

For more on the game, read Friday's edition of the News-Democrat & Leader.
