Our product is improving with the clearing and opening up of the Shelton Lane property. We hope to finish the final clean up and seeding by spring. The 63,000 square foot Logan Industrial Development Authority building on Shelton Lane is vacant and being marketed aggressively. The final paving on Woodland Drive was completed in November and opens the park to direct access from the US68/80 by-pass. Auburn Hosiery Mills deeded their buildings and land in Adairville to the City. Their complex in Auburn is now in local ownership and is also being aggressively marketed. The Logan Industrial Development Authority purchased and leased the Caldwell Gasket building in Auburn which helped to save 35 jobs. The option on the land north of Adairville has been renewed and offers yet another opportunity for new jobs. Land in Lewisburg is available and listed on all of our partner websites.
The Community’s partnership and financial support is needed more than ever. LEAD is working hard to position Logan County for growth and development in an improving economy in 2010. We must insure that our capacity for growth remains strong and viable so that we will share in the coming prosperity for South Central Kentucky. The economy is improving and we must be ready and able to participate in the expansion.
LEAD is supported by about fifty private investors who invest in their community‚s economic future by including LEAD in their budget each year. The return on community investment in LEAD will increase opportunities for all Logan County citizens to profit and prosper from the local economy’s growth.
