Included in those were two first place medals. Receiving top honors were Marah Harris in the Middle School female category with a score of 286 with 19 tens and Blake Taylor in the Elementary male category with a score of 285 and 18 tens.
Others who placed in the top 10 were: Elementary female, Kaitlyn Foster 3rd scoring 271, Caitlin Hardison 8th scoring 257 and Audrey Wells 10th scoring 250. In the Elementary male category, 3rd Zac Mcelfresh scoring 269, and 10th Seth Schweers with a 257. In the Middle School girls, Rachel Palmgren finished 9th with a score of 265 and in Middle School male, Jacob Brumfield finished 4th shooting a 277.
Several schools participated in this tournament, traveling from all around the area. In the overall team scoring, Lewisburg Elementary finished second behind Trigg County with Adairville coming in 3rd. Lewisburg’s Middle school team finished third behind Henderson South and North respectively.
Lewisburg will be hosting the Ranger Classic on Feb. 5th and 6th. Over 400 Archers have registered to shoot during this two day event.
All the local schools will have shooters entered as well as schools from as far as Henderson to West, Somerset to the East and Nashville, Tenn. to the South. Come on down to “the Burg” and support the kids as they aim for the yellow and shoot to win.
