The Logan County Humane Society received a grant recently from the Pedigree Adoption Drive Foundation for $656. This grant will go to help lower dog adoption fees for the first 32 dogs that get adopted at the shelter.
Adoption fees go towards the spaying or neutering of your pet, along with the their first series of shots and micro-chip identification.
The Logan County Humane Society is at the threshold of becoming a no-kill shelter and needs help from the community to reach that goal. “Every adoption and rescue brings us one step closer to fulfilling that goal,” says director Elin Pitts who is working diligently to find homes for the hundreds of unwanted animals that come through the doors at Logan County’s shelter each month.
Remember adopting a pet is a big responsibility and one that should be taken seriously.
If you are interested in the low adoption fees please visit the shelter in the back of the Russellville City/County Park located off the Bypass.
