Ruth Ella Holman, age 67, of Adairville, died Saturday, December 12, 2009, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

She was born May 26, 1942, in Oakville, to the late Herbert and Margaret Hayes Grayson. In addition to her parents, her husband, Frank Holman, brothers, Douglas Grayson and William Richard Grayson, and sister, Maxine King, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Holman was a member of Adairville Church of Christ, was a retired bank teller for the former Citizens National Bank. She served in the 1980s on the Adairville City Council and was a graduate of Adairville High School class of 1960.

She was a patriotic American whose pleasures were her grandchildren, spending time with family and friends, going out to dinner, playing Rook and UK basketball.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville with burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 5 - 8 pm and again on Friday, December 18, 2009, one hour prior the service at 2 pm.

Mrs. Holman is survived by her son 1SG(R) Brent (Lee Ann) Holman (Army) of Adairville; daughter Tracy (Ron) Harrison of Windermere, Fla.; sister: Regina (Carl) Wells of Greenville; and grandchildren Katherine and Anna Holman of Adairville and Connor and Benjamin Harrison of Windermere, Fla.

If desired the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Logan County Relay for Life or Hospice of Southern Kentucky. All donations may be sent care Robertson County Funeral Home.
