Ribbon cutting

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of Lewisburg Banking Company's new Armory Drive office, 200 Armory Drive, Russellville today at 8 a.m.

LCHS Band Christmas Concert

The Logan County High School Band will present their 2009 Christmas Concert this evening at 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church located on Main Street in Russellville. There is no charge for admission, but the band is asking you to bring a toy for their Toys for Tots toy drive to help families in Logan County, as a service project to give back to the community. LCHS students Rebekah and Christina Link and their parents will perform three musical numbers featuring violin, mandolin, guitars, and singing and then the LCHS Symphonic band will perform Christmas classics.

Rotary & Kiwanis joint meeting

The Rotary and Kiwanis clubs will hold a joint meeting today at noon at the Methodist Temple with a program by the deGraffenried Chorale.

Christmas Concert with the Panthers

Panthers of all ages will perform this evening at Russellville High School beginning at 6 p.m. The SES first and second grade students will be performing at 6 p.m in the RHS lobby. At 6:30 p.m. the Christmas Concert will include the SES 5th and 6th grade bands, Russellville Jr. High band, Russellville High School band and the RHS Chorus. The RHS Band Boosters will be serving refreshments for the evening.

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a ribbon cutting for the Red Tree, 280 East Fourth Street, Russellville today at 12 p.m.

Pictures with Santa

BB&T will have client appreciation and pictures with Santa today from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be no charge. Donations will be accepted for Toys for Tots Christmas 2009 project.

Food Drive at Muddy River

Muddy River Baptist Church, 5320 Bowling Green Rd., will be having a food drive for families in need today beginning at 9 a.m. Please bring a photo ID.

Christmas Cantata at Plainview

There will be a Christmas Cantata at Plainview General Baptist Church during morning worship services at 11 a.m. today. This years Christmas Program is under the direction of Mrs. Earline Appling. Christmas Fantasia will be presented by the sanctuary choir of First Baptist Church, 277 S. Main Street, today at 4 p.m.

The Epley Baptist Church Choir will present the Christmas program Hope Has Hands today at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Local Planning

Committee

On behalf of the Logan County Board of Education, the Local Planning Committee will meet today at 5:30 p.m. at the district office. This meeting will be to discuss and draft the District Facilities Plan.

District Facilities Plan Public Forum

On behalf of the Logan County Board of Education, the Logan County Schools Local Planning Committee will hold a Public Forum to solicit input on the development of the District Facilities Plan today at 7 p.m. at the district office. The meeting is open to the public.
