Brother Joe Carrico is asking for the community’s help in supporting the families of the 7th Battalion 101st Aviation this Christmas holiday.

Because of the great sacrifices our soldiers make throughout the year, Carrico wants to show appreciation to the soldiers and their families during Christmas by giving them food, toys, gift cards or money.

The event has been dubbed a “Soldiers Family Christmas” and is being aided by numerous community supporters including drop-off locations at all of Logan County’s city halls, the Russellville Fire Department, Agape, sheriff’s department, Circle C Construction, American Legion, Bob Hedges office and the Logan County Court House.

Brother Carrico is asking everyone who wishes to donate items to bring them to one of these locations before Dec. 18th or drop them off on Dec. 18th at the Carrico Center located behind Red Kap in Russellville between 10-11:30 a.m. when the truck is to be loaded.

After the truck is loaded a convoy will head to Fort Campbell to deliver the gifts. Brother Joe said anyone wanting to go to Fort Campbell needs to contact him at 725-7348 so he can get them a pass into the Army base.
