Please open your hearts and contribute to the seventh annual Soldier’s Family Christmas.

Each year a truckload of toys, bicycles, tricycles, gift cards and boxes filled with a turkey plus all the trimmings needed for a complete Christmas dinner are taken to the 7th Battalion, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell for the families of the soldier’s who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. All donated by the great people of Logan County.

During Christmas it is always easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and forget about what is going on in the world around us. Your contribution is a way of letting the men and women who are serving our country and their families know that they are not alone and that we have not forgotten them. Giving a little of yourself helps to add a little brightness to their Christmas and also helps to ease the stress they live with daily. Please help us to make this year unforgettable for those soldiers and their families.

The deadline for contributions is Thursday, Dec. 17.

Some drop off locations for contributions are the Agape Service Center, Russellville City Hall, Russellville City Fire Station and Attorney Bob Hedges office.

Cash donations can be mailed to: Patricia Hedges, 528 Watermelon Road, Russellville, KY 42276 or Agape Service Foundation Inc., 501 Johnson St., Russellville, KY 42276.

(Your contribution is tax deductible, make checks out to Agape-Soldier’s Family Christmas.)

For more information contact Patricia Hedges at 726-9613 or 847-7349.
