The American Legion Post #29 will be hosting a bean and cabbage supper at 5 p.m. at the Post.
LCHS Band
The Logan County High School Marching Cougars will be performing at the Muhlenberg County High School at 6 p.m.
Dog Days of Summer
The Logan County Humane Society will be hosting its annual Dog Days of Summer event to day in Adairville between 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. The event will feature a rabies clinic, bake sale, grilled lunches and animals for adoption from the Humane Society. Funds for the event will go towards the society’s rescue program.
Food Plot Wheat distribution
The Logan-Todd Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will be distributing Food Plot Wheat on Saturday August 29th. This seed will be for members of the club. The seed will be available at 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the new burley warehouse on Franklin Street/Bowling Green Road in Russellville behind Colonial Inn Restaurant. Come to the Logan County Public Library today for a movie at 1:30 p.m. In this movie, Jack Bruno is a cabbie who picks up two very special passengers. He ends up with young siblings who happen to have paranormal powers. The
two are trying to get back to their space ship which is trapped inside Witch Mountain, a place where strange phenomena are known to occur.

LCHS Parent-Teacher Conferences
Logan County High School Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held today from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the school. Parents will be able to pick up progress reports during this time and meet with their child’s teachers. No appointments are necessary. Teachers from the Russellville Area Technology Center will be available for conferences as well. From 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the library, there will be alternating sessions on ILPs and the PLAN test.

Summer Bike Night on the Square with a special awards ceremony (Peoples Choice) will be tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. in Adairville. There will also be a special 9-11 remembrance program with a tribute to our veterans, military, police officers and firefighters. There will be music by Clay Bilyeu.
