The counts include, but are not limited to – sexual abuse in the first degree when Brooks subjected another person to sexual contact who is incapable to consent because she was less than 12 years old, committed rape in the first degree when Brooks intentionally and unlawfully engaged in sexual intercourse with another person incapable of consent because she was less than 12 years old, unlawfully committed the offense of use of a minor in a sexual performance when he employed, or induced a minor less than 16 years of age to engage in a sexual performance, unlawfully committed the offense of promoting a sexual performance by a minor when knowing the character and content thereof, he produced a DVD/CD of which included sexual conduct by a minor less than 16 years old, committed the offense of unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree when Brooks knowingly induced, assisted or caused a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity while said minor was less than 16 years old.
Other charges stemmed from alleged actions when Brooks knowingly and unlawfully used a communications system inducing computers, computer networks, computer bulletin boards, cellular phones, or any other electronic means for the purpose of procuring or inducing a minor for sexual or other prohibited activities and committed rape in the second degree when Brooks engaged in sexual intercourse with another person less than 14 years old.
Brooks is currently being held in the Logan County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
Brooks had a pretrial conference Thursday, Aug. 6 in the Logan County Circuit Court.
