All charges were dismissed Thursday against Lewisburg Mayor Kenneth Whitson and the man he shot last month, Larry Lee.

On May 14, Kenneth Whitson was arrested and charged with first degree assault for allegedly shooting Lee in the leg during an altercation that occurred at a home on Mortimer Road in Adairville. Lee was later arrested and charged with criminal mischief first degree for allegedly striking Whitson’s truck.

Both felony charges were amended to misdemeanors before being dismissed by Judge Sue Carol Browning. Both men were given two years probation.
