Second man arrested in shooting

A second arrest was made in an altercation that occurred on May 14, which resulted with one man shot in south Logan County.

Larry Lee, 57 of Franklin, was arrested May 19 by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and charged with first degree criminal mischief.

Lee was allegedly shot on May 14 by Lewisburg Mayor Kenneth Whitson in an altercation that landed Whitson in jail with charges of first degree assault.

Lee was later arrested for allegedly causing damage to Whitson’s vehicle during the altercation. Both bonded out of jail and are awaiting court dates.
