The awards segment of the ceremony was presented by Mrs. Brown and Mr. William Swatzell, middle school science teacher. The following awards were given: Excellence in Math, Justin Rone; Excellence in Language Arts and Science, and the Arts and Humanities Award, Anne Partlow; Excellence in Social Studies, Cody Hunt; Excellence in Read 180, Raymond Ramsey; Athletic Awards - given to a boy and girl who show outstanding effort in athletics, Megan Griggs and Dustin Cartas; Citizenship Awards, Lindsey Lockhart and Shelby Abbott; Outstanding Achievement in Band - given to any member of the band who has shown achievement and commitment to the band over and above normal class work, Britney Cropper; The Pam Thomas Academic Award - presented to two students this year for exemplifying the spirit of Mrs. Thomas, Shelby Browning and Taylor Tinsley; Perfect Attendance, Nichole Hildabrand and Shyan Lyons. The Presidential Awards were given to students with a 90% of better grade point average and who scored proficient or distinguished on at least one section of the CATS test: Shelby Browning, Dustin Cartas, Coty Coles, George Collins, Britney Cropper, Kayla Droge, Sara Garner, Blake Gettings, Megan Griggs, Jordan Huff, Wesley Hughes, Cody Hunt, Zach Lee, Lindsey Lockhart, Shyan Lyons, Will McCormick, Natalie Miles, Thomas Miller, Dylan Offut, Anne Partlow, Trent Powell, Justin Rone, Amanda Shoemake, Jessica Shrum, Kelsey Skipworth, Shelby Smith, Taylor Tinsley, and Brianna Whitaker. Honor students, who had a final grade point average of 94% or higher, were recognized. Honor students were Shelby Browning, Dustin Cartas, Britney Cropper, Sara Garner, Megan Griggs, Cody Hunt, Zach Lee, Lindsey Lockhart, Anne Partlow, Justin Rone, Amanda Shoemake, Taylor Tinsley, and Brianna Whitaker
The last awards presented were the Salutatorian Award, given to Cody Hunt, son of Tim & Angie Hunt and the Valedictorian Award, given to Taylor Tinsley, daughter of Chad & Tammy Tinsley.
Following the awards ceremony, the class was recognized by Mr. Billy Hall, Chairman of the Logan County Board of Education, who presented each graduate with a diploma.

Each year, The Aviles, Bush, and Webb Scholarship is presented in memory of three teachers, Frank Aviles, Debra Bush and Paulette Webb who were killed in a car accident in 2000. This scholarship is presented to a LCHS senior and former Chandler’s student who plans to continue their education in science, education, or technology. This year, the award was presented to Tasha Haley, daughter of Beverly and David Williams and Clyde and Marty Haley.
As tradition, the graduates and their guests viewed a video presentation of the graduates during their earlier years. Following the presentation, Bro. Russ Chitwood gave the benediction. The faculty and staff at Chandler’s wish this graduating class much success in their future.
