Gladys Evitts Lack, 99 of Russellville, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Hopkins Nursing Center, in Woodburn.

She was born on March 1, 1910 in Muhlenberg County to the late James Robert Evitts and Viola Waggoner Evitts. She is preceded in death by her husband; John Felts Lack; a daughter, Dorothy Stratton; and a son-in-law Shelby Brown. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Funeral service for Ms. Lack will be Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home.

Bro. Junior Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dunmor Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday until the time of service.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Brown of Woodburn, and Thelma (and husband Shirley) Moore of Franklin; son-in-law, Wallace Junior Stratton of Russellville; 10 grandchildren, Linda Ellis of Glasgow, Stephen Brown of Woodburn, Donna Hunt of Auburn, Dale Stratton, Michael Stratton and Kenneth Stratton all of Russellville; 23 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Moore, Terry Moore, Dale Stratton, Michael Stratton, Kenneth Stratton, Stephen Brown, Gary Ellis and Tommy Hunt.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Roberts, Bobby Lynn Roberts, Jeremy Moore, Jonathan Moore, Jerry Moore, Stevie Brown, Jordan Brown, Shane Hunt, Timmy Ellis, Scott Ellis and Josh Stratton.
