On the first day of the spring basketball signing period, Western Kentucky University head men's basketball coach Ken McDonald has announced the signing of Terrence Boyd and David Laury to National Letters of Intent (NLI). Boyd and Laury join a WKU recruiting class that already includes Caden Dickerson, William Green, and Jordan Swing who all inked with the Hilltoppers during the early signing period in November. All five will enter WKU in the fall and have four years of eligibility.

"I am very excited about the effort of the assistant coaches, adding two quality players who are very talented, each in their own right. They are very good kids and two guys that are excited about being Hilltoppers and what that represents," said McDonald. "I think they got excited as the year went on, came here and saw the passion, and wanted to be a part of it."

Boyd is a 6-5, 230-pound shooting guard from Norman, Okla. He has been ranked as high as 54th in the ESPNU's Top 100. Rivals.com and Scout.com both list Boyd as a four-star recruit.

Laury is a 6-8, 225-pound forward from Newark, N.J. He played his high school basketball in East Orange, N.J. prior to joining the Alif Muhammad Nia Prep School this past season. As a senior at East Orange, Laury averaged 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
