Greetings from the Antioch Community.
Dovie (Latham) Ramsey and husband Bob from Colorado have been visiting Family and Friends in Kentucky. On Tuesday of last week, she made arrangments for her family and friends to meet at the Colonial Inn Restaurant in Russellville for lunch. A total of 23 people were there. Dovie was so excited that so many came to see her. We had a good lunch and a good time visiting together. It was so good to see Dovie and her husband, Bob. Pictures were made.
We had a beautiful day Sunday for our Home coming at Antioch Baptist Church. The singing was by Still Waters from Hopkinsville. They were really good. We had a bountiful lunch as usual. Melba Gibbs gave the history of the church. We had lots of visitors there, which we were glad to see.
Visiting with Myrtle Pogue over the weekend was Oscar Lewis and Joyce White and Evelyn Olinger from Ohio and Indiana. They were in for the Lewisburg class reunion. Others there was Phyllis Causey, Lorrie Hopper and Darlene.
James and Sue Fuller are doing about the same. He went to the cancer doctor last week and she wasn’t there, so he didn’t find out very much.
Dolores Harris and Vanessa Price went to a cookout on Memorial Day at the home of Jason and Darrel Appling.
Visiting with Christine was our Pastor, Miranda, Milissa, Jessica, Jimmy, Juley, Tommy, Shelby, Thomas, Sara and her mother and Dorothy.
Jimmy and Sheila Christian joined Jimmy and Judy White and their family for a weiner roast out by the pond Monday night. They had the best time.
Congratulations to Peyton Chick, who graduated from 8th grade at Lewisburg School.
Jimmy and Sheila went to her sister’s Lola and Lee Backman on Saturday night. They were celebrating Brooke’s birthday. Derrick, Natalie and baby Miles were there too.
No one will know what you mean when you say “God is love” - unless you show it.
Have a good week.
