Ah, June is near and one important event planned for June 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Lewisburg City Complex is the Little Miss and Mr. Contest. You can pick up application papers at the city hall, the Leiwburg Banking Company or the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. Sounds most interesting. If you can attend you will enjoy I’m sure.
52 years ago on Monday the 13th James and Sue Fuller were married in Elk Lick Church with pastor at the time, Bro. Junior Maddox performing the ceremony. Best wishes as they celebrate many more.
Friday night Lannie and Judy Jernigan visited with friends James and Delores Brooks.
I know you saw in the paper the picture and article about the kids that are involved in the “Governor’s Scholarship Program.” The ones I knew were Kaitlyn Jernigan, Trevor Brown, who is the son of a good friend Dee Dee Brown, and Will Hughes, grandson of Martha Wright. Best wishes to each one. Kaitlyn will be attending Murray.
My day was made Sunday when granddaughter Kerri Groen called from Georgia. Of course Stanley and Elaine were in awhile and I appreciated that too.
Sunday was an exciting day with the Fuller family. James and Sue, Jeff and Corrie Fuller, Shawn, Jeff, Brett and Olivia, Luke, Sabrina Fuller of Bowling Green, Kevin and Heather of Tennessee, Bro. Ray and Sharon Gilliand and Melony of Muhlenberg County attended services at Glory Bound Church. Not only were they celebrating Mother’s Day, the boys Luke and Brett were baptised. After church they all went to Jeff and Corrie’s for lunch. Wasn’t that a special day?
Visiting Sunday with Virginia Hart were Carolyn and Roger Gibson, Dasha and Ron and 2 boys, Terry Hart, Ronnie Hart and Kelsey of Greenville and Kelley Hart and Hunter and Shelly of Lexington, I think. Anyway they all enjoyed the day.
I got a beautiful Mother’s Day card from Stanley, Elaine and Tara and another one from Sherry Harris in Louisville. Since her parents are gone, we have all tried to adopt her. She is a sweetie.
Well, ole’ ornery cousin did it again and fell. Luckily he didn’t break anything. I keep telling him it is good he has a hard head, right?
Wanda Coursey spent Monday night in the local hospital. Hope she can feel lots better.
I certainly enjoyed Charlotte Oslonian visiting awhile Tuesday. We had a good visit and ate vegetable soup.
Our sympathy to the Nash family in the death of Boyd. He was the brother of Margaret Stuart.
Glad Jewell Wayne Johnson is home after 7 days in the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
Sorry to hear Faye Farmer is in Creekwood after a fall in which she has a broken hip. Hope she is soon able to be back into her usual activities.
Our sympathy to Bryan and the family in the death of his mom Mrs. Magdalene White. Her services were Monday.
They had a fish-fry Saturday night at the Activities building and bless Jerry Hart, he brought me supper and those fish were good, as well as the other eats too. Thank you very much.
Don’t forget our picnic which is June 5th at the Ranger Grill. Please be there by 12. We can have a good time visiting, as well as good eats.
Glad Marvine Borders has checked on me a couple of times this week. She and her family have been good friends of this family for years and aren’t friends good to have?
If you have a chance to stop at “Produce & More” this is where Bev and George Whitson have so many good and fresh vegetables. This is at the building on the corner of 431 and 106 west. You will enjoy the fresh “stuff.”
Until next time, smile and know God loves you!
