Two men die in head-on collision

A 1994 Toyota Camry 4D, operated by Dustin Belcher, 25, of Morgantown, was traveling west on Ky. 106 when it collided with a 1998 Dodge Stratus 4D that was traveling east on Ky 106.

The 1998 Dodge was operated by Christopher Gunn, 28, of Lewisburg and was also occupied by James Belcher, 29, of Lewisburg.

The two vehicles met on a hillcrest and impacted head-on in the east-bound traffic lane. Both Dustin Belcher and James Belcher were deceased upon the arrival of emergency units.

Christopher Gunn was flown by helicopter from the scene to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment for multiple injuries. No further details are available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

This collision is being investigated by Logan County Deputy Jonathan Shackelford. Agencies at the scene were the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Lewisburg Rural Fire Department, medical center EMS, Air Evac Lifeflight, Lewisburg Police Department, Phil Stokes’ Towing Service and Abbott’s Towing Service.
