Robert Eugene Edwards, 60, of Russellville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Springfield, Tenn on April 15, 1952, a son of Cora Lee Lunsford Edwards of Russellville and the late Charles Thomas Edwards. In addition to his father, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lamont Edwards.

Mr. Edwards was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville and was retired from the Jefferson County, Ky. government.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Fifth and Spring Street in Russellville with Reverend Sammy Spencer officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation began Sunday, March 1o from 2-7 p.m. at the Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Russellville.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Edwards is survived by his sons, Marcel Lamont Edwards of Bowling Green and Robert Leon Edwards of Franklin; his daughter, Zenovdia L. Love of central Florida; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
