Audie E. Knuckles, 97, of North Main Street, Russellville, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab.
He was born June 27, 1915, to the late Isaac Nuckols and Ida Rae Powell Nuckols. He was a retired welder for L&N Railroad, a U.S. Navy veteran and member of Second Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Knuckles and sons, Billy and Jerry Knuckles.
Funeral services for will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Blick and Bro. Chris Skipworth officiating with burial in the First General Baptist Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013, and after 8 a.m. Sunday until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers are Tracy Knuckles, Kenneth Knuckles, Johnny Knuckles, Timmy Knuckles, Eric Knuckles and Zachary Knuckles.
He is survived by sons, Bobby Knuckles (Linda) of Elkton and Wayne Knuckles (Debbie) of Adairville; brother, A.C. Nuckols of Lewisburg; sisters, Dorothy Cowherd of Russellville and Eula Nuckols of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
