James E. DeBerry, 86, of Morgantown Road, Russellville, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was a Logan County native, born May 4, 1926, to the late Bunie Brown DeBerry and Dovie Jane DeBerry. He was a retired farmer, street supervisor for the city of Russellville and member of the Plainview General Baptist Church.

Funeral services for James E. DeBerry will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. David Youngblood, Bro. Arno Krantz and Bro. Bobby Joe Forshee officiating with burial to follow in the Chandlers Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 and after 8 a.m. on Monday until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Jeff DeBerry, Craig Jackson, Troy DeBerry, Trent DeBerry, Jami DeBerry, Ryan DeBerry, Shayne Higgins and Trevor DeBerry.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Anderson DeBerry, sons, Dwight DeBerry (Reba) of Franklin, Avery DeBerry of Russellville and Gregory DeBerry of Bucksville; daughter, Sheila Higgins of Auburn; sisters, Dorothy Belcher of Russellville and Catherine Browning of Elizabethtown; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
