Blayke Bingham, daughter of Billy and Melodie Bingham, of Olmstead, was recently recognized for dedication to volunteer service in the community, outstanding leadership skills and good citizenship. Modern Woodmen of America, a national provider of fraternal financial services and programs, awarded the 11 year-old its Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award.
The award is presented annually to one member of each Modern Woodmen Youth Service Club nationwide. Approximately 800 youth service clubs provide Modern Woodmen members age 16 and younger with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun.
Blayke Bingham was nominated for the award by her club leader Wanda Grayson of Olmstead, for her efforts. Bingham received an engraved trophy.
Other nominated members were Carlie Alvis, Abi Lindsey and Hunter Johnson., who all received medallions for honorable mention.
