Dear Editor:
I’m writing in response to George Nation’s letter in the paper. He starts out his letter stating that he is a “proud Episcopalian,” and then precedes to attack Bro. Chad Johnson, it amazes me that a man that has never met Bro. Chad thinks he knows everything about him.
I have personally sat at Bro. Chad’s table with his wife and family, I know his parents and in-laws, both are fine families. In Mr. Nation’s letter he states that Bro. Chad is a “scared man” who wants to “frighten his church into submission.” I know one thing, Bro. Chad has preached in our church, and I can promise you he’s not afraid to preach the truth like so many hirelings in most so-called churches today.
We need more preachers that will preach the whole counsel of God and not just half of the Gospel. In Mr. Nation’s letter, I learned a lot about a man I have never met, he admits that he doesn’t believe in literal creation and he all but denied the Holy Scriptures as “a book of accounts recorded by people from thousands of years ago.”
How can a man claim that he loves God, and yet deny the very one that created Him and this world? Mr. Nations claims that he is a “proud Episcopalian.” What exactly does that mean? That you’re proud that you don’t believe the Bible and you believe Darwin over God? Shame on you and all that think like you.
I can promise all that share that belief, one day when you stand before God, you will know the truth.
In closing, if you read this letter, Bro. Chad Johnson, keep on writing, keep on warning, keep on preacher, till Jesus comes.
