Motorists traveling on KY 100 (Franklin Road) in Logan County may experience slight delays as Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews begin work on the section of roadway between Russellville and the Simpson County line, a distance of 8.93 miles.
Crews will be clearing vegetation from the right of way, extending culverts, and building shoulders over the next several months. This work will be done between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and when necessary, a flagman will be on site to help direct traffic.
Resurfacing of the route will take place in late summer/early fall once all of the improvements have been made.
The project was awarded to The BRC Group in November 2012 for $913,000 and is scheduled for completion this summer.
