The Russellville High School girls’ basketball team beat Cumberland County 74-64 on Monday in Burkesville to advance to the semifinals of the Fourth Region All A Classic tournament.

The Lady Panthers were scheduled to play Glasgow, a 59-46 winner over Todd County Central in the quarterfinals, on Wednesday night, but that game was rescheduled because of bad weather.

The Lady Panthers and Lady Scotties were scheduled to play Thursday night. The other quarterfinal game was played on Wednesday night with Monroe County beating Metcalfe County 43-33.

Monroe County was scheduled to play host Clinton County on Thursday night in the other semifinal.

The championship game is scheduled for Saturday night at Clinton County.

With the win over Cumberland County, the Lady Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak. They are now 7-10 on the year.

Russellville’s next scheduled game is on Monday, Jan. 21 at home against Clinton County.
