Michael Robert Chastain, 67, of Guthrie, Ky., died Monda, Jan. 14, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Clarksville, Tenn. on April 12, 1945, a son of the late Paul Melvin Chastain and Lucy Fortson Chastain.
Mr. Chastain was a farmer and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and attended the Trenton Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Trenton Baptist Church with Reverend Dean Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation began Thursday, Jan. 17 from 4-8 p.m. at the church. Latham Funeral Home of Elkton, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Alice Hadden Chastain of Guthrie, Ky.; his sons, Terry (Jennifer) Chastain and Neil (Denna) Chastain, both of Guthrie, Ky., and his grandchildren, Devin, Logan and Ethan Chastain.
