The Russellville High School boys’ basketball team won its fourth game in a row and stayed unbeaten in the new year with a 77-74 victory on Friday night at Franklin-Simpson.
The win also kept the Panthers’ District 13 record perfect at 3-0.
The Panthers are now 10-7 on the year.
They play this week in the Fourth Region All ‘A’ Classic. RHS was scheduled to play at Cumberland County on Monday night in the quarterfinals.
With a win, they would then advance to the semifinals, where they would face the winner of Todd County Central and Glasgow. The semifinals will be held Thursday night in Clinton County. The championship game will be Friday night at Clinton County.
The Russellville girls lost 55-40 at Franklin-Simpson on Friday.
It was the Lady Panthers third loss in a row and fifth out of their last six. Their overall record is now 6-10.
