The Logan County Chamber Ambassadors and the Logan Liaisons from LCHS volunteered their time Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Russellville Wal-Mart to “Adopt the Kettle-for-a-day” along with some bell ringing to help the Salvation Army. The Bowling Green Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign involves 27 kettles and approximately 50,000 man hours; in three counties which supports 10 surrounding counties. Ninety percent of these hours are supplemented with paid bell ringers. However, with increased volunteer participation, the Salvation Army would have more resources to serve our community. Any organization or business who would like to volunteer should call the Salvation Army at 270-843-3485 or email savolunteerbyky@gmail.com.
