Frances Dukes, 68, of Elkton, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the emergency room at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

She was born in Todd County Jan. 13, 1944, a daughter of the late Walton and Tricie Laster Rager. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dukes was preceded in death by her brother, Otha Ray Rager and one great-grandson, Malaki Burson.

Mrs. Dukes was employed by Flynn Enterprise for 20 years and was a General Baptist and was also a singer with the Spritual Highway Gospel Group.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Reverend Wayne Duke and Reverend Larry Chapman officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Saturday, Dec. 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy Dukes of Elkton; her sons, Billy D. (Vicki) Dukes of Elkton and Wayne (Tammy) Dukes of Russellville; her daughters, Tina (Bobby) Mitchell of Kirkmansville and Tammy (David) Keeling of Elkton; her brother, Thomas Laster of Elkton; 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
