Mayburn Bryan McCoy, 88, of Louisville, formerly of Butler County, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

Mr. McCoy was born May 13, 1924 in the Leetown Community of Butler County to the late Willard B. and Annie Pearl Mason McCoy. He was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, United States Army WW11 Veteran. He retired from E.R. Carpenter Co. in Russellville, farmed and drove a school bus for Butler County. He was preceded in death by his sister Esma Henderson

Funeral service will be held at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Ton hursday, December 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery in Morgantown. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown and Thursday 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

McCoy is survived by his wife of 48 years Elvera McCoy of Louisville; son, Wade McCoy of Louisville; foster son, Shawn of Louisville; brother, Wallace McCoy of Bowling Green; sister, Anna Ruth Hall of Morgantown; several nieces, nephews and cousins
