T.R. Lyons, 64, of Trenton, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born in Murray Dec. 25, 1947, a son of the late Grady and Ruby Crofton Lyons. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Crawford.

Mr. Lyons was a retired farmer and a member of the Pembroke Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton with Reverend Chris Short and Reverend Terry Lyons officiating. Burial followed in Edgewood. Visitation began Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5-8 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louise Lyons; his sons, Chris Short of Glasgow and Michael Lyons of Elkton; his brothers, Robert Lyons of Michigan and Terry Lyons of Georgia; his sisters, Patsy James of Clarksville, Tenn. and Linda Henson of Georgia, and eight grandchildren.
