Eula Marie Adams-Schamber, 92, of Athens, Ga., and formerly of Todd County, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Heritage Health Care in Athens, Ga.

She was born in Todd County Nov. 25, 1919, a daughter of the late Houston and Bessie Laster McGehee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams-Schamber was preceded in death by her first husband, James Romeo Adams; her second husband, Adam Schamber; her daughter, Vonda Adams Wolf, and her brothers William McGehee and Junior McGehee.

Mrs. Adams-Schamber was a retired housekeeper for the University of Illinois. She was a Baptist by faith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 1o a.m. at Trinity General Baptist Church Clifty with Reverend Donald McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in the Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5-7 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton and Wednesday, Nov. 28 after 9 a.m. until time of service at Trinity General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her so,n Mark Adams of Kenosha, Wisc.; her daughters, Rachel Adams McGarty of Glendale, Ariz. and Mary Adams Hamman of Athens, Ga.; her brothers, Dorris and Morris McGehee both of Clifty; her sisters, Audrey McGehee Raulston of Plano, Texas and Eleanor McGehee of Loxley, Ala., and her grandchildren, Kevin Hamman, Kristina Wallace, Kristin Adams, Ben Adams, Brandon Adams, Tammy McGarty, Noreen McGarty, Troy Eads, Dereck Eads, and Randy Eads.
