Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Hope you had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for.
A group of our Tops Ladies ate lunch together after our meeting last week. Was ate at Taco Bell’s. Those going were Lucille Beckham, Barbara Venable, Marylin Goodman, Patty Campbell, Barbara Beliles, Louise Henderson and Patty’s granddaughter, Emily. We had a good time.
My brother-in-law James Fuller is doing some better, but he still has trouble breathing. Hope he can soon be much better. My sister Sue had to see her doctor last week. She had sore throat and coughing. She is better now.
Sue Fuller had a Birthday Dinner on Tuesday night for their son Jeff, and his family.
I enjoyed a call Monday from Gracie Sweeney from Greenville. She was calling to ask about Jimmy Christian. He is improving slowly.
We had a different service at church Sunday morning. Instead of our Pastor preaching, he let the people tell what they were thankful for. It was really good to hear the people tell about their Blessings.
Our Pator’s wife was aiming to sing a special Sunday morning, but couldn’t get the sound system to work. So maybe she can sing next Sunday. She has a beautiful voice.
Tuesday was the third Tuesday of the month and time for Dr. Larry Gotts to be on Feedback. It is always good to hear the questions called in and the answers that the good doctor gives. You can get some free information about Health problems by listening tot he Feedback program. Don and Dr. Gotts are two very special guys.
Visiting with Christine White were Shelby and Juley Nelson, Dorothy Henderson, Jimmy White and Jerry White was there Saturday and got her groceries. Thank God for our children to help us out.
Visiting with Dolores Harris and Vanessa Price on Friday night was Brandon and Abbie (Vanessa’s grandchildren).
Then Sunday evening was three of Dolores’s great-granddaughters, Danielle, Cheyenne and Vanessa.
Real love is helping others for Jesus’ sake, even if they can never return the favor.
Have a Good Week.
