The Russellville High School academic team competed in Regionals at Madisonville North Hopkins on February 21. Sarah Fox placed first in Written Assessment and Eric Goddard placed 2nd in Social Studies, paving their way to state competition.
Chris Collier placed 1st in Social Studies and 4th in Mathematics.
Spencer Statton placed 3rd in Science.
Phillip Wilkerson placed 4th in Science.
Savanna Herron placed 2nd in Language Arts.
Nicholas Scarbrough placed 3rd in Language Arts.
Kaylee Silvey placed 4th in Language Arts.
Audrey Wells placed 1st in Written Composition.
Sam Cundiff placed 5th in Written Composition.
David Duran placed 3rd in Arts and Humanities.
The Quick Recall team placed 2nd. The Quick Recall Members are Chris Collier, Nicholas Scarborough, Sam Cosner, Sam Cundiff, Savanna Herron, Audrey Wells, Adam Wright, David Duran, Spencer Statton, Madison Rose, and C.J. Borden.
The Future Problem Solving Team placed 2nd. The members of FPS are Sam Cosner, Sam Cundiff, C.J. Borden, and Savanna Herron. Ashlee Gilbert serves as an alternate for the team.
The entire team placed 2nd overall.
The team will compete at the Regional Level on March 21st, 2009 at Greenville Elementary.
