Edith Mae Statton, 92, of Hunters Circle in Russellville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

She was a Logan County native, born March 6, 1920, to the late Clay and Jennie Goddard.

She was a seamstress and attended O’Roark United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Statton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the new Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Thomas and Bro. Donnie White officiating with burial to follow in the O’Roark Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 and after 8 a.m. Sunday until the time of the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Nathan Johnson, Michael Forrest, James Armstrong, Ronnie McIntosh, Randy Cowan and Scott Blythe.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Lawson (David) of Russellville; granddaughters, Julie Johnson (Nathan) and Jayme Forrest (Michael), six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
