On Thursday, she took the next step in her golf career as she signed scholarship papers to play next year at Campbellsville University.
“It’s been a pleasure having her on our team,” said LCHS golf coach Ethan Meguiar. “She defines what it means to be a student athlete.”
Johnson signed with the Tigers at LCHS in front of her friends and Logan County teammates.
“I’m just very excited get the chance to play golf for four more years,” she said. “This is a good opportunity for me and God opened the door.”
Johnson will be a part of what is shaping up to be a big freshman class at Campbellsville.
Campbellsville coach Lindsay Hines said she expects to sign seven freshmen – many from this region – to next year’s squad.
“This is one of our biggest recruiting classes ever and one of our best recruiting classes ever,” Hines said. “We’re really excited to have Jordan as a part of it.”
